behind the harp habit

Born in Jakarta, Indonesia, Jolie began her musical journey with classical piano at the age of three. She discovered the harp at nine through her elementary school’s orchestra club, and since then studied both lever and grand harp under the tutelage of Heidi Awuy.

Over the years, she has performed actively in Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan, including representing her country at the Singapore Harp Festival and the World Harp Congress in Hong Kong. She has also received masterclasses from renowned harpists such as Jakez François and Katryna Tan.

Now based in Japan, Jolie focuses on the 26-string lever harp (name: Cherry!) — small enough to fit her current life in a tiny Tokyo apartment and versatile enough to spread around her music.
